Meet Jessica, another addition to our ARK accessibility renovation family!
Jessica is a sweet girl with lots of energy and creativity. ARK is so excited to be able to help Jessica and her family. She lives with severe developmental delays and seizures. Jessica cannot stand or walk and spend most of her day in a wheelchair. Because of these challenges, Jessica needs both feeding and bathing support.
For Jessica’s accessibility renovation, we are installing a vertical platform lift in the garage, a new step, and widening doors in her home! These renovations will make it easier for Jessica’s family to help her get around and spend more time doing the things she loves to do!
We are so excited to see how ARK’s accessibility renovations will serve Jessica. And we can wait to see her next finger-painting masterpiece!
Accessibility Renovations for Kids has completed another project. ARK is a charity whose goal is to make life easier for kids with disabilities. Jessica has a severe developmental disorder and suffers from seizures. She cannot stand or walk, so she uses a wheelchair 24/7. ARK decided to help out Jessica and her family by installing a vertical lift in the garage of their home and also widening the doors in the house. Jessica lives with a lack of independence due to the severity of her disability. She needs assistance with everyday things like bathing and food consumption. This lift will do wonders for Jessica and her family. The project was finished in April. ARK hopes to do more tasks throughout the year due to donations.
