Meet George, our ARK kid who’s renovations are “out of this world!” George is an endearing and charming young man, who is 9 years old, and loves all things related to space and space travel! His smile is infectious, and you can’t help but smile yourself, when you are with him.
“Project Blast Off,” as it was so appropriately named, required much needed modifications to George’s family home in order for George to experience a higher quality of life.
The bathroom did not adequately accommodate his wheelchair, and having a conventional bathtub and shower proved to be very challenging for George’s family to attend to his personal care.
In addition, George’s bedroom door needed to be widened, (as well as his closet door,) in order to accommodate his wheelchair, with there being very little clearance for entry, prior to the modifications made.
ARK was thrilled to be able to make all of these renovations that ease daily life for George and his family!
